No liquids,
no sharps

Every bag of rubbish is carried away by a cleaner’s hands. Leaking bags and skewers poking through can hurt them. Two extra steps before you bin it keeps them safe.

Our “bin person” reminding passers-by: no liquids, no sharps
01

Two steps before you bin it

  1. 01No liquids: pour it outPour drinks and soup down the sink first; empty cartons before flattening them.
  2. 02No sharps: break skewersSnap skewers and toothpicks blunt before binning — never whole into a bag.
  3. 03Wrap it and label itWrap broken glass and sharp items in paper or a box and write “Careful — sharp”.
  4. 04Stand togetherTell your family and colleagues, and make it a habit together.

Stand firm, no sharps
