Pre-consumer food waste map

A map of
pre-consumer scraps

Peel, grounds, eggshells, veg trimmings — pre-consumer scraps always exist and are the easiest to reuse, yet almost nobody handles them. We’re building an open map: which shops will give them away, and who can use them.

How it will work

Give

Shops with scraps to spare

Cafés, coffee shops, bakeries, fruit stalls, dessert shops… register yourself, or our volunteers will come and ask.

Take

People who can use them

Farmers, home composters, makers, workshop leaders, black soldier fly farms.

In between

Lab0ver & volunteer “sentinels”

Doing the outreach, checking and keeping listings up to date.

⚠️ Everything on the map is for non-food uses (compost, feed, crafts) — it is not food donation. For edible food, please contact a food bank or Food Angel.
